What are YOU doing to celebrate Whole Grains Month?
We're encouraging everyone, everywhere to try a new whole grain recipe... convert a skeptic... bake whole grain cookies for their Scout troop... or otherwise help advance the whole grain cause - and to report their activities to us during September, a.k.a. Whole Grains Month.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
We want you to chat up whole grains with your family and friends, and then tell us all about it. Every little bit helps spread the word. But we’re also encouraging you to be outrageous. Just a few ideas to start your mind whirring:
Gather together 10 friends, go to your favorite fast-food restaurant, and have everyone order one of the available whole grain options (get inspiration on our restaurant list). Look the counter clerk straight in the eye and say, “Happy Whole Grains Month” when you get your food. Snap a photo, and tell us about it.
Make a video of you fixing your favorite whole grain foods. Whether you’re a gourmet cook or just particularly adept at preparing a bowl of cereal, it’s all good, as long as we can see how much you love those whole grains. Send us a link to your video on YouTube.
Tell us your health and diet story. Did you lose 20 pounds from switching to whole grains? Do you have more energy now? We’d love to hear about the role that whole grains play in your life.
Search your kitchen cupboards for all the products you can find that show the Whole Grain Stamp. Arrange them in a creative sculpture, and send us a photo.
